How affiliate links work on this site
Some links on FixYourVPN point to VPN providers' websites. When you click one of those links and then buy a subscription, we receive a commission from the provider. This applies to our review pages and to recommendation sections within our troubleshooting guides. Affiliate links are labelled clearly wherever they appear.
Our current affiliate partners
We currently have affiliate arrangements with the following VPN providers:
- ExpressVPN (expressvpn.com)
- NordVPN (nordvpn.com)
- PureVPN (purevpn.com)
We also write about many other VPN providers we have no affiliate arrangement with. Not having a commercial deal does not stop us covering a VPN, and having one does not mean we will recommend it. If our affiliate partners change, this page will be updated.
No extra cost to you
Clicking an affiliate link never increases the price you pay. The commissions we receive come out of the VPN provider's marketing budget and are not added to your subscription price. The price shown on a VPN provider's website is the same whether you arrive via our link or by typing their address directly.
If a provider offers a promotional price through our link that is lower than their standard rate, that is a discount negotiated with the provider, not a surcharge.
How we label affiliate links
Pages or sections that contain affiliate links carry a disclosure note so you can tell when a link on this site may earn us a commission. We follow UK and US advertising regulations on disclosure.
Our commitment to you
Affiliate relationships do not influence what we write. Our guides, recommendations, and troubleshooting advice are based on our own testing and judgement. A VPN that performs poorly in testing does not get recommended regardless of what commission it pays. Commission rates play no part in any editorial decision.
The guides, conclusions, and recommendations on this site would be the same with or without any affiliate arrangement in place.
Affiliate tracking
When you click an affiliate link and visit a VPN provider's website, that provider's affiliate network may set a tracking cookie on their domain to record the referral.
